📚 The doc issue
We can expand on the test section in CONTRIBUTING.md to describe how to do a manual CMake build and use ctest to run tests directly. It is useful for running individual tests and also for attaching a debugger / quick rebuild cycles / etc. Documenting this process will helpful for contributors.
