This template should be used (edited) the month prior and during the meeting. This will ensure we can address all topics added throughout the month; as well as provide minutes and follow up after the meeting is held.

PyLadies Global Meeting

Project Updates

    • started updating social media banners and general branding
    • created bot in #events channel for collecting info via forms
  2. Project Admin & Logistics (Slack: #project-admin-logistics / Repo: https://github.com/pyladies/project-admin-logisitics )

  3. Project Tech & Infra (Slack: #project-tech-infra / Repo: https://github.com/pyladies/pyladies)

    • Sarah, Bethany, & Lynn met a few weeks ago
    • First steps (not exhaustive):
      • Catalog all of the PyLadies "tech" assets
      • Setup working group access
      • Reach out to interim council leads for technical handover
    • Question: Would other working groups like their own Google Group/mailing list?
  4. Code of Conduct

    • in the past there has been discussions about creating a google doc
    • valery & Tania have expressed interest in this team and will reconvene discussions this year
    • they have discussed some points already and this will continue
  5. Finance Work Group

    • got in touch with both Ewa and phyllis, in the process of setting up a meeting with phyliss who not only manages our account but also works in the fiscal sponsorship team
    • started drafting a model for the team
    • retrieved more info re pyladies auction at PyCon

New Business

  • Should we write a New Year's message to the community ? I recently joined R-Ladies slack group and saw this: - ML

  • It's too late for a new years announcement, but we could post a similar message this month to reflect on 2020, the psf fundraiser have inspired us for our won fundraising, pyladies around the world are doing great, let's celebrate all achievements etc, and plans for 2021
  • start a discussion on this and everyone can draft a version
  • Python's 30th anniversary

    • From previous meeting: agreed to work offline
    • Set "working group"/doc to work on
    • Schedule meeting with advisors for review
