Issues using AudioTools with PlatformIO on ESP32

Hi,

While using the AudioTools library with PlatformIO on ESP32, I encountered the following issues in VSCode IntelliSense

cannot open source file "driver/i2s_pdm.h" (dependency of "AudioTools.h")
cannot open source file "AudioLibs/AudioSourceSPIFFS.h"
cannot open source file "AudioCodecs/CodecMP3Helix.h"
cannot open source file "AudioLibs/MP3DecoderHelix.h"
#include errors detected. Please update your includePath.

• I have updated platform-espressif32 to the latest version and reinstalled AudioTools and libhelix.
• I suspect this might be related to the include paths in PlatformIO/VSCode, and the library may need updates to library.json or documentation for PlatformIO paths.

My question: Is there a recommended way to make IntelliSense recognize all library files, or a PlatformIO configuration to ensure all AudioLibs, AudioCodecs, and driver headers are correctly found?

I would appreciate guidance or a solution for this issue, and I want to mention that I am using the latest version of your library

I think this is rather a question for PlatformIO and not for this library...

Thanks! Can I use older versions of the library to avoid this issue, or do you have any suggestions to make it work with the latest PlatformIO?

I had the same problem. I switched to pioarduino, and the issue was resolved. PlatformIO uses an older version of ESP-IDF.

Pioarduino is a VS Code extension and a community fork of PlatformIO that supports the latest Arduino core and ESP-IDF. With PlatformIO, I wasn’t able to add an espressif32 version that includes i2c_pdm.h, but Pioarduino solved this problem.
