[BUG] No output on windows runnning prospector

Running prospector in the root folder doesn't return any error while running prospector test.py return errors.

Environment (please complete the following information):

• OS: Windows 1'
• Tool: pylint
• Prospector version: 1.6.0
• Python version [e.g. 3.6.8]: 3.7.11

I'm experiencing this too.

Example:
prospector - does not report pylint messages
prospector . - reports pylint messages (I'm using this as a workaround because it doesn't seem to break any other tools.)

• OS: Windows 10
• Tool: pylint
• Prospector version: 1.6.0
• Pylint version: 2.12.2
• Python version: 3.9.9

Might be due to pylint-dev/pylint#5701, there's no default value for what to lint in pylint.

Please can you see if this is still happening for you with the 1.8.0rc0 release? I just pushed it, it should address this (and other) issues about finding files.
