Test an Application class

Maybe there is some way to wrap up an Application class so that it can be tested, maybe it replaces the clintest Solver

I like the idea to have a test framework for application, but was wondering whether clintest is the right place.
Wouldn't it be at odd with the objective to make clintest a solver agnostic test framework?

I meant to have the tools to do it! Yesterday I was able to solve it doing some tricky stuff. It does not have to be in clintest but maybe in the project template as an option? I am unsure, just eager to avoid copy pasting between projects :)
