Dragging an applet too far above or below applets list causes it to vanish

Dragging an applet too far away from the applet list causes it to vanish from the list until you get close once again, if it stayed glued to the bottom or only appeared in the spot when you dropped it that would make sense but swapping back and forth feels a little bit odd.
