Why did Podverse stop streaming an episode, or is slow to stream an episode, even though I am connected to WiFi? #14

I'm at the gym and 30 mins into my workout - Podverse stops playing. |

@echomasterr since the media file is hosted by the podcaster's servers, not ours, it's very difficult for us to identify if there is a Podverse related bug leading to the issue. Furthermore, No Agenda's media files are redirected through OP3, which is another layer / separate service that we don't have control over. If the hosting server has a failed or slow connection, it can result in streaming failures. The surest way to avoid streaming failures would be to download the episode in full while connected to WiFi for playback later. I'm sorry this probably isn't the answer you were hoping for, but the distributed nature of podcasting means Podverse doesn't ultimately control the uptime or reliability of podcasters' servers. I will try to be on the look out for similar issues with non NA podcasts. |
