Setting right playtime for late install plan.

Hey I have a server which already has a playtime plugin but it is old and can't do what I want it to do. Which is exclude afk time from the actual playtime. (in this plugin known as active playtime). Is there a way to set a player playtime. I tried chaging the entries in the .db file with manually setting the changes. But it does not register this change. Can you help me with this?

I read somewhere this might have to do with the moment plan has been installed. It only reads after the plugin was installed? Or am I wrong here.
