Create a unique referral link for a referrer

When a referrer shares this link, users sign up for an account will be assigned to this referrer. When they subscribe and pay, the referrer will get 10% of the revenue we get. We will have information about the referrer and their referrals somewhere in the system so that every month, we can inform them about their commission.

Will we give them 10% forever? Do the users get anything for using the referral link?

Maybe give them 10% for the first payment within 6 months.

Nice if we can also give discounts for users since that'll give referrers an easier job. Use my link and get 10% off or something like that.

we should design the program in such a way that it can be quite generous at first and then fairly roll it back as we scale

What I've seen from others include:

• Have the referrer complete a form
• Generate a unique link for the referral link for the referral to share: https://share.ets.org/linh
• When you click on it, it takes you to a page to sign up for the app
• If someone signs up through that link, their account is assigned to the referrer
• When they upgrades, the commission is populated for the referrer
• We can then decide to pay the commission at the end of each month
• We send a notice of referral stats to the referral every month. If there's none, we tell them there's no subscriber yet.

It's nice to have:

• Coupon given to referrers so that they can give discount

It's also important to have a dashboard that allows us to:

• track referrers
• see their performance stats
• end contract
• set/adjust the performance period and commission

Regarding UI, I don't know yet. It seems that we need to build a different web page.

Apparently, this is a third-party solution made to handle "create short links for affiliates. It tracks installs and revenue generated from the links and integrates with revenuecat."

If there's already a solution, that's great. The main thing is to track revenue from each link reliably. That's all. We can pay % on the revenue instead of a fixed dollar amount per subscription.
