Issues with Node version for custom resources

Reproducing with (to force the Node version for custom resources):

provider:
    name: aws
    region: us-east-1
    runtime: nodejs16.x
    deploymentMethod: direct

functions:
    resize:
        handler: resize.handler
        events:
            - s3:
                bucket: !Ref TmpBucket
                forceDeploy: true
                event: s3:ObjectCreated:*
                existing: true
                rules:
                    -   prefix: photos/original

resources:
    Resources:
        TmpBucket:
            Type: AWS::S3::Bucket

If I change the version to nodejs18.x then the deployment works.

I believe #114 will help.
