To add a translation you should start from the Git repository (from Github). See https://github.com/zonemaster/zonemaster/blob/master/docs/internal/maintenance/Instructions-for-translators.md for some information for adding a language. After adding a language (PO file) you should create a package, see https://github.com/zonemaster/zonemaster/blob/master/docs/internal/maintenance/ReleaseProcess-create-test-distribution.md Note the separate instructions for GUI. If you want support through Backend, then you must also update the configuration file. See https://doc.zonemaster.net/latest/configuration/backend.html#language-section |

If you find the translation task reasonable, would you considering contributing the translation to Zonemaster? Please send an email to me. You can find my address at my profile. |

We're testing Zonemaster on a local instance. It's running on FreeBSD and we're building pkg's in poudriere.
For our use case we wanted to add Icelandic translation, and we have a .po file, but I'm not getting it to work.
FreeBSD ports uses the archive from CPAN, and first I tried patching the port to just add the is.po file under share. It runs but it seems there are some build steps done before publishing to CPAN, so I'm not able to easily add the is.po file and get a quick translation.
I then tried fetching the upstream source archive, but that has different problems:
Is there an easy way to add a custom translation to the CPAN archive? How do people work when starting a new translation?
