Path from GCP contributions to project participation and organization membership

Hi Hector and the Floci team,

My recent work on the GCP emulator includes #361, now merged, and the follow-up #367, which is still open.

I read the governance guidance on sustained contributions and scoped maintainer roles. Could you clarify whether Floci offers GitHub organization membership to active contributors, or whether membership is tied to a triager or maintainer role? What would be a useful next step for someone contributing in the GCP area?

I'm asking about the participation path, rather than submitting a maintainer nomination at this stage. Thank you.

The path is described in GOVERNANCE and CONTRIBUTORS documents. Org membership and roles aren't granted for activity alone. They follow a sustained track record:

• Consistent, high-quality PRs over time
• Actively reviewing other contributors' PRs

For the GCP area, the most useful next steps are:

1. Keep landing focused, well-tested PRs like #361 and #367
2. Review open PRs touching floci-gcp. Thoughtful reviews carry a lot of weight.
3. Help triage and reproduce GCP-related issues.

Once there's a steady history of both contributing and reviewing, the role conversation follows naturally.
