Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
#3042 listed a few new API endpoints that would be useful to have. This tracks the addition of the /annotate endpoint for getting annotation for a file.

Describe the solution you'd like
Return JSON array of annotate entries, each containing:

  • line number
  • author
  • revision ID
  • line content
  • description (from VCS)

The endpoint should support specification of a revision to annotate as optional parameter.
