Not initiating anything

Hi,
I've been trying this for the last 9 days to see how it works. The problem I have is that the program does not initiate anything, no messaging first, no voice messages, no images, UNLESS I do any of these things first. If I message, it messages back straight away. If I send a voice message, it replies with a voice message (although it's not using the right ElevenLabs voice ID for some reason even though I have it in my saved voices in Elevenlabs.) Another problem that I can see is that it scrapes things that it wants to talk to me about (state.json) but it never brings them up in conversation.

yeah same. Even with using the default expensive openai gpt's I see calls being made to elevenlabs and google api's where it tries to generate some info from the daily cronjobs but it is not using the info. Also generating images is a hit and miss for me. Sometimes it works and is being sent to telegram, sometimes i see the image being generated in the API overview but it doesn't show up in telegram at all.

I'll have a look at my custom companion app Kardia that I built previously over on my github page. It has no problem initiating messages randomly but it isn't using OpenClaw. Maybe I can submit a merge here of the initiating code.

Interesting! Openclaw looks cool but the API calls it makes are pretty dense. It almost seems a bit too much for just a silly chatbot.

I have seen that it needs very explicit instructions to be proactive, generally openclaw gets lazy and responds as HEARBEAT_OK. You can try tweaking the instructions.
