Request for content: Finding an open source project to work on

This will be a page (or set of pages) that talks about what a potential contributor should look for in an existing project to work on.

Things like:

• Is it still being developed?
• Is there an existing community for the project?
• Are there coding guidelines / build instructions to get started
• Are there issues at the appropriate skill level for the contributor

After reading the content, the reader should have a good idea how to go about looking for a project and determining if it is a good fit for their skill level and interests.
