OpenScan v1.1.0-alpha Release Notes
Trustless Transaction History is Here
We're excited to announce OpenScan v1.1.0-alpha — featuring a groundbreaking approach to fetching transaction history without relying on centralized indexers.
Highlight: Binary Search Transaction Discovery
Traditional block explorers rely on centralized indexers to show your transaction history. OpenScan takes a different approach.
How It Works
Our new binary search algorithm finds your transactions by analyzing on-chain state changes:
The algorithm efficiently narrows down which blocks contain your transactions, then fetches the actual transaction data directly from your configured RPC.
Features
Trade-offs
This approach is not as fast as centralized indexers, but it's the most trustless way to fetch account transactions. You're querying the blockchain directly through your own RPC — no third-party APIs, no data collection, no trust assumptions.
For accounts with many transactions, the initial search may take some time. But once cached, subsequent visits are instant.
