Loss of the period parameter after changing the detail level in the dropdown list

I go to https://explore.openelectricity.org.au/energy/sa1/?range=3d&interval=30m&view=discrete-time&group=Detailed
In the dropdown list, I select 'Simplified'.
I am redirected to https://explore.openelectricity.org.au/energy/sa1/?range=7d&interval=30m&view=discrete-time&group=Simplified

The parameter range=3d has changed to range=7d, although it should not have changed.
