Steps to reproduce

  1. Visit https://github.com/open-austin/
  2. Click "Repositories"
  3. Click "open-austin.github.io"
  4. Look for source code corresponding to what's on open-austin.org
  5. Repeat steps 1 and 2
  6. Type "website" into filter bar
  7. Think about the names "website-v2", "website-v2-vercel", and "website-v3"
  8. Click "website-v3"
  9. Look for source code corresponding to what's on open-austin.org
  10. Visit https://www.open-austin.org/
  11. Look for some link to the repo
  12. Repeat steps 1, 2, and 6
  13. Click "website-v2-vercel"

Actual results

Failure and frustration at steps 4, 9, and 11.

Expected results

A visible link on open-austin.org to the "website-v2-vercel" repo. A conspicuous notice in the README of the "open-austin.github.io", "website-v2", and "website-v3" repositories and in the GitHub repository description "About" section that (a) these are not the repos you really want, and (b) a link to the "website-v2-vercel" repo.

I think this is already fixed? or not an issue. @lianilychee @attali-david . When I go to open-austin.org and click on the github link, I get sent to https://github.com/open-austin/website-v2-vercel/ which is the right repo

I don't see any link to the repo on open-austin.org, @kjohnson8781.

Can you provide a set of steps (like the steps from the first comment in this issue) that someone can follow to find the link that you're talking about?

For the open austin website:

  1. Go to open-austin.org
  2. Go to projects portfolio page - https://www.open-austin.org/portfolio
  3. Find Open Austin website
  4. Click on github link
  5. Link opens new tab with correct repo - https://github.com/open-austin/website-v2-vercel/

For the Github Repo:

  1. Go to https://github.com/open-austin
  2. The correct repo is pinned as " The latest incarnation of the Open Austin website! "

I do agree that we probably need to clean up the old repos or perhaps rename the current repo to something more clear? @lianilychee thoughts? The other ones still exist but you have to hunt for them in "View all repositories"
