Upload to a preprint server #13
Comments
Hi @HippocampusGirl, that's not a bad idea! |
Hi @smoia - thanks for looking into this! Did you manage to push the submissions to a preprint server? It would be very helpful for me for a grant application that's due soon. |
Hey @kel-github and @HippocampusGirl, I'm still figuring out a couple of things with Aperture Neuro (ACP fees and authors batch system), in the meantime I checked to submit to a preprint server but bioRxiv and arXiv are not accepting a proceeding preprint. Do you have another preprint server in mind, or is it ok if I upload the final version to Zenodo in the meantime? I know it's not indexed, but at the moment I'm lacking ideas on how to get a DOI before Aperture... |
Hey Stefano,
Thanks for the actions and the thought :) how about Figshare
<https://figshare.com/>?
Hope you're well :)

Hey @kel-github ! I did not think about figshare - mainly because I thought it was working with data and not proceedings (although one could argue that proceedings are data, after all). Why is it better than Zenodo? |
I would recommend zenodo over figshare (Figshare is one of a number of
portfolio businesses supported by Digital Science
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Science>,[2]
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Figshare#cite_note-nature-2> a
subsidiary of Springer
Nature <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Springer_Nature>.[3]
Zenodo is from the CERN an international public research institute
cheers

Sounds good, thanks JB :)

Hi @smoia and everyone else,
@kel-github and I were wondering if it might be possible to upload the manuscript to a preprint server before BrainHack Global in early December.
Thank you so much for your efforts!
