Seen with freecad 1.1.0dev installed on Ubuntu via snap.
The button of the PartDesign workbench is highlighted, as this is the workbench I want to start with. Nevertheless, the grid of the Draft working plane shows up. It should not. Maybe it should show when switching to Draft workbench (toggle with G,R, when there), but not for any other workbench.
This happens, when starting FreeCAD empty (shown above), and also when starting with an FCStd file.
Workaround:
Click Draft, Click PartDesign. Now the grid disappears as expected.
