Best way to connect specific org file to programming project

I'm still fairly new to org. I managed to create a quick function to telescope my org files, going to poke around the other plugins.

One thing I'm thinking about though is if I have a bigger programming project (ex. my game) and I have an org file for it, what's the best way to quickly pull it up in a new buffer? I don't want to create a link.

So I am learning neovim as well, but asked an AI for a little help and I got the following function. Is there a better way to do this with Org's built in functionality? I have poked around a bit before getting the function, but wasn't seeing anything that stuck out.
