Segmentation fault with simple-3dviz

I'm trying to run the renderer/preprocessing on my Ubuntu machine (on desktop) but keep running into a segmentation fault. I've narrowed it down to the simple-3dviz package (sepcifically creating a standalone context when initializing a BaseScene). Has anyone else had these issues? I am unable to run the preprocessing because of this.
