expose an overlay so non-flake projects can consume this while overriding nixpkgs

I want to consume this flake from a non-flake project (although with flakes enabled in nix.conf) while building the packages against my own pinned version of nixpkgs.

Ideally I'd like to getFlake and then use overlays.default, although alternative ideas are welcome.

Given this is using @zimbatm's blueprint that sounds like a quiet some work without builtins.getFlake. For a conventional flake-parts project I would have exposed it as a package set.. @zimbatm do we have some interface to expose tools here as a package set?

The best would be for flake-compat to support the overrides. If you can revive NixOS/flake-compat#49 then I'll what I can do to get it merged.

Yeah, currently I'm using a fork of flake-compat with my own hacky solution for overriding inputs
