No kernel for grammar Ruby found

Hi,
The title says it all: I'm trying unsuccessfully to use a Ruby kernel with Hydrogen.
From a terminal the iruby command works fine and the Atom console doesn't report any errors regarding this problem.
I tried googling this issue but I'm kind of stuck not even knowing where to start troubleshooting.
Any guidance would be much appreciated.
