How can I disable highlighting when my cursor is not in the buffer? #19

I don't know if it's a bug but when I'm not in the buffer I don't want to have higlighting, the same as highlight current line or parentheses match work.

Is it possible for highlight-symbol to do the same?

Unfortunately, that's currently not supported, but I agree that it would make sense for the idle-highlight.
