About me

This report is posted on behalf of TV 2 Norge

Observed Behavior

This is a regression seen after migrating from Release 50 to 52.
After queueing a Part through an AdLib Action, oftentimes unexpected things happen to Pieces from the following Part, or the Part that is being queued. There are two variations:

  1. Pieces disappear from the Part being queued, and seem to act as if they started in the current Part.
  2. Pieces that should start at the beginning of the Part following the dynamically inserted one, will start in the dynamically inserted Part instead.

Screen recordings were sent to the dev team via Slack.

Expected Behavior

Thing behave as they used to in Release 50. Pieces don't disappear or change the Part they start in.

Version

Sofie Core and Playout Gateway based on release52 (c58b021)

Severity / Impact

This is a critical issue affecting playout of Rundowns

Level of Involvement

We hope this issue is known and already worked on. If so, we'd like to ask for a rough ETA of a fix. Otherwise we consider looking into this issue on our own and contributing the fix, with some prior guidance

Sorry to hear that you're having trouble. No, this isn't an issue that showed up in our testing hence we're not working on it. We would definitely welcome a bugfix contribution, though!
