Vertical (momentum) Scrolling issue: Slider keeps scrolling through slides

Hi everyone..

I'm working on a project that has a full page vertical slider that is navigation via mousewheel scrolling through projects.

Desired behaviour: The slider stops after 1 slide.

The issue: When scrolling generously on macOS, the slider keeps scrolling through the slides.

The only solution that worked so far is to increase the slide transition up to more than 1 second, but that feels a little toooooo slooooow.

Is there some magic swiper event that forcefully stops after 1 slide and forgets about the "stored" momentum scrolling?

I'd appreciate any hints on how you would achieve this. ChatGPT failed, unfortunately :)
