With npcap ( 1.78) not possible to ping a host within GNS3 (nested VM) while using Windows 11 with VMware Workstation pro version 17.5.1 build-23298084

To Reproduce
Install npcap 1.78 and the issue is there,
After uninstalling npcap 1.78 and installing winpcap everything works again

I see the same issue, to solve this is to uninstall npcap and install winpcap

In my case, I was using Wireshark (not GNS3), but I was facing the same problem where "Bridged" connection didn't work for my VM with VMware Workstation.
The problem only occurred when npcap was installed. As mentioned, after uninstalling npcap everything worked again.
However, it turns out that if you check "Install Npcap in WinPcap API-compatible mode" when installing npcap, then everything works fine. At least in my case, I didn't have to use a 10+ years old software.
