Non-custodial USDC payroll & sponsored trustlines — UX review

Track: UX / Product testing. This task is being migrated to the GrantFox UX Bounties track — the OSS (code) campaign is not the right home for it.

Overview

Review the user experience of Nirium's non-custodial batch payout flow (nirium.xyz/payroll) and the auto-sponsored USDC trustlines on Stellar. Evaluate how clearly the app surfaces trustline sponsorship, terms acknowledgment, and batch execution feedback.

What to test

• Sponsored trustlines: send a test payout to a fresh Stellar account without a USDC trustline and observe how sponsored reserves are communicated.
• Batch execution: run a 3+ recipient payout and evaluate status updates and error handling for invalid addresses.
• Legal & disclaimers: assess whether the terms-acknowledgment gate and non-custodial notices are clear to non-technical users.

Expected deliverable

A ranked list of UX friction points (High / Medium / Low) with concrete suggestions, plus supporting screenshots or a short screen recording of the flow.

ℹ️ This is a UX/product-testing task. It will move to the GrantFox UX Bounties marketplace once access is granted; reward, evidence and submission are handled there, not in this repo.

I reviewed the four required evidence items and the three payroll scenarios. I can deliver this as one bounded UX audit: an uninterrupted Freighter-to-Stellar-Expert recording, annotated before/during/after screenshots, the test transaction hash + IPFS receipt CID, and a severity-ranked findings table with exact reproduction steps and copy/state recommendations.

Before I start, please assign #16 to @AntonsBB and confirm that the /payroll Testnet option provides a fully testnet path for the sponsored trustline and 3-recipient batch (so no mainnet USDC or mainnet reserve funding is required). I will keep wallet/recipient personal data out of the public evidence. Once assignment and that Testnet path are confirmed, I can run the audit without duplicating another contributor’s work.

I will use only a disposable Stellar testnet account and test assets. Before I start, could you please confirm:

• ranked findings list with severity, exact reproduction notes, and concrete UX/copy/state recommendations.

Before I begin, could you please confirm:

1. whether [UX] Non-custodial USDC payroll & sponsored trustlines — UX review #16 can be assigned to @elianguitarra or whether GrantFox uses open competition only;
2. whether the full sponsored-trustline + 3-recipient batch scenario can be completed on Testnet without mainnet USDC/reserve funding;
3. whether disposable test wallets and redacted public evidence are acceptable;
4. the payout rail/address format for the advertised 50 USDC and the expected review/payment timeline.

I will not submit transactions or publish wallet evidence until these points are confirmed, to avoid duplicate work and to keep personal wallet data out of public artifacts.
