Acceptance Criteria

2. Verifies payment on Stellar (testnet/mainnet) before returning a response.
3. Includes a setup guide in README.md.

Proposed TypeScript scope:

• /ask <query> creates a canonical request ID and a $0.02 USDC x402 payment challenge;
• the complex-query handler is never called before settlement verification;
• settlement is verified server-side with @nirium/sdk, with network/asset/amount/recipient bound to the original request rather than trusted from Telegram input;
• paid requests are idempotent and replay-safe, so one settlement cannot unlock multiple distinct queries;
• pending, expired, invalid-signature, wrong-amount, and successful states have explicit Telegram responses;
• the answer provider is injected behind a small interface, allowing the sample/tests to use a deterministic stub instead of requiring a paid LLM key;
• focused tests mock Telegram and Nirium boundaries and prove unpaid requests do not invoke the answer handler, while a valid settlement invokes it exactly once;
• README covers Testnet setup, webhook/polling mode, secret handling, and a reproducible demo.
