2.10.6 to 2.11.0-dev: database migration fails

I just checked out the current feature branch on our test system. After running ./update.sh the following error appeared. Does anybody know how to fix this and can point me to the right direction, please?

Switch back to the develop (or master) branch and restore a known-good database from backup. Then, switch to the feature branch and run manage.py migrate again.

Cheers Jeremy, that helped. While manage.py migrate complained that it couldn't find django.core.management, ./update.sh finally did the trick.
