Step-by-step guide for parameter adjustment #723
Comments
Dear contributors, |
Hello @rneher and @ivan-aksamentov as you know we are using covid19-scenarios to build projections for the State of Rio Grande do Sul, in Brazil. Our group is writing a tutorial on how we have manually adjusted our projections using covid19-scenarios.org and we are looking for some help and partnership to polish and validate the tutorial. Do you have any suggestions of some student or apprentice that may love to replicate a few times a 5 pages tutorial on covid19-scenarios? Following the steps one by one and try to replicate the results within different countries. I am using Johannes Textor tutorial on daggity as a conceptual reference to build this tutorial. Maybe, if we can sustain a high-level scientific standard, we can think about a publication. Many models were produced recently but there is a gap of information about how to make them useful, custom, and adjusted for local use. |
@tiagoandresvaz Thanks Tiago! Really nice to hear that Scenarios work for your region. I don't have a student in mind, but I could do this myself, why not. Will it be in English? P.S. Sorry for the late reply, I was away for a few days. |
Hi Ivan,
it is originally written in English by myself, but I use to send writings
before any publication/review to www.aje.com, as English is not my first
language.
If you don't mind, I can share the draft with you thru google docs before
any revision so you can assess the tutorial and send us feedback before any
other movement.
Obrigado,
Tiago Vaz

Are you going to add the tutorial as a page in your fork?

🙋 Feature Request
Some guidance on how to develop a new scenario and adjust parameters to fit existing data would help many users. Especially once we have case count upload.
This could be a markdown page similar to updates and FAQ
