In case it matters, in particular, I would like to hide a unselected images.

I'm stuck here too - I'd like to dynamically let visitors of my gallery whitelist images with certain tags and blacklist others, but the API only offers tag searches.

The built-in tag filter is quite basic and shows a union of selected tags, rather than an intersection, which is likely fine for some use-cases but not for mine.

For custom filtering, it'd be nice if it were possible to set an attribute on a gallery item to show or hide it.

I'm considering taking some time to submit a PR for this, but I'm seeing a number of open ones dating some years back and no integrated ones since 2020 - are new PRs for nanogallery2 still being accepted? @Kris-B
