It would be helpful to write a short guide on how to get it all working from the first step of installation of D, vibe.d to the quick working example of query to a database.

I hope I'm in the right place to ask for this.

Ordinarily, getting a compiler set up and learning how to use third party packages would be well outside the scope of a typical library. However, since this is pretty much the D lib for a very, very major DBMS (MySQL), I think you have a very good point. It would be very beneficial to mysql-native, to D itself, and to D's prospective users to provide a "Getting Started with mysql-native, For Non-D Users" tutorial.

I'll see what I can do...
