Use openstreetmap.org as the map

It would be great to be able to switch from google maps top OSM (openstreetmap.org). The usage rights are probably more permissive and it would be great to use ODBL data instead of google resources.

This could come as an option obviously if you prefer having the google maps as default.

searching for osm on wordpress plugins finds a few plugins to use osm maps in wordpress...

It's been a VERY long time since I originally uploaded the initial alpha release of GeoPress, and since then, I've developed a strong distaste for MySQL and become pretty much addicted to MongoDB (which is absolutely ideal for geo-location projects such as this) and as such, the company I work for is now developing MongoPress - http://mongopress.org - an OpenSource MongoDB / PHP based NoSQL CMS. I am planning to port GeoPress as a MongoPress plugin soon, and in doing so, already have OpenStreetMap integration listed in the roadmap for its initial release.

Since I truly hate MySQL, I doubt very much that I will ever update the existing GeoPress project, unless it is to completely replace it with the MongoPress version...
