Legacy homepage Top sites Sponsored tile API was adjusted in https://mozilla-hub.atlassian.net/browse/FXIOS-10713 to use the new Unified Ads API. This API was integrated as a short term thing with local networking classes. At some point this API is supposed to be integrated in A-S for us to consume. For now only the legacy homepage uses this local networking classes. Before releasing the new homepage, we should make sure to integrate the unified ads API. Hopefully A-S will be ready for us to consume, otherwise the short term solution approach should be taken.
