I noticed that after a certain number of chapters (more than twenty in my case), the application is slow and consumes resources for nothing

Thank you so much for the feedback!
I know about this issue, but this is mostly due to how UWP (the platform on which Storylines is based) works - when you have a long text, it tends to take a lot of resources, but there are some tricks that can be done to improve this. I would like to improve a lot of things with #14, but I am not sure when at least part of this will come.
