You have posted the very first issue for this repo, exciting!
The error claims there is an IntegerDivideByZero error happening. Now looking at the example code and the library code, there is really only one place we divide, that is line 103 in AsyncOTA.cpp, which would indicate that Update.size() was 0. Taking a look at https://github.com/espressif/arduino-esp32/blob/master/libraries/Update/src/Update.h hints that _size is 0 when the updater is not running. I think that's as far I can guess without more info.

I suggest you get the ESP32 Exception Stack Trace Decoder, which will make a human-readable stack-trace where we can see exactly where in the code the error happened:

Please post the serial printout from the crash with the exception decoder.

I tried the ESP Stack Trace Decoder and it showed an issue in line 102 of AsyncOTA.cpp .

0x400dce45: operator() at /home/mickey/Documents/PlatformIO/Projects/esp_async_OTA2/.pio/libdeps/esp32doit-devkit-v1/AsyncOta/src/AsyncOTA.cpp:103

I commented line 102 as follows:

if (_progressUpdateRequired) progressUpdateCallback();

                      Update.progress() * 100 / Update.size()); */ 

and it went through the OTA ok.

I started up my devkitc esp32-s3 for first time in a while and it seems there have been a lot of breaking changes in the idf and platformio world. I will need some time to fix everything

to be more precise to my message above "..and it went through the OTA ok...", the OTA was not successful. But it goes on counting the completion% to 100%

Sorry no, this lib is depending on the webserver library and they broke their functionality. I couldn't pinpoint a previous version of webserver that worked either
