trying to open a MOV getting "File won't open" message?

Hi
I'm just trying to open a mov in losslesscut. It opened last week, but trying the same file just gets me a "File won't open" message with no extra info. Lossless cut won't open any mov files, including one that i made using lossless cut! It will open mp4 etc. I've tried deleting and re-downloading lossless but but it makes no difference. I've been downloading the manual option from github,
I'm using ios sonoma 14.6 on an apple M3 chip
any ideas to try?

what's the full name of the file? can you share a screenshot of the message saying "File won't open"? I don't think LosslessCut will ever generate a message saying exactly that

No problem - the file is just called testw.mov. I clipped it from a bigger file just to play with the software because i just downloaded it. The bigger file also won't open anymore
The exact message text is "Failed to open file" there's no other options and it just times out as a message.
I get the message if i drag/drop the file in or if i use the file -> Open method

I'm on Version 3.63.0
Thanks for the link about the tools - I hadn't rummaged in how to use the software extensively because it had worked just fine until this error pinged up! (i just need to clip videos) edit: also i just assumed it was me doing something wrong not the computer!

ok thanks i know what's the error now. it's a bug in the newest version of llc: https://github.com/mifi/lossless-cut/releases/tag/v3.63.0 #2197

in the meantime you can try the latest nightly build, or downgrade, or wait for me to release a new verison with a fix
