Because of error 80004005, VS was unable to check whether Developer Mode is enabled #345
Description
Hi, I previously successfully deployed the SIGMA APP on VS2022 17.8.6. Recently, I attempted to deploy the SIGMA APP again on VS2022 17.14.21 using the exact same configuration, but encountered errors with the following messages:
DEP6720: Failed to deploy package 62b807e2-6539-46fb-8d67-a73dc9499940. Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
DEP6722: Failed to deploy optional package 57e8cc1f-36e5-41b7-972f-80e4f1016bfc. An exception of type 'Microsoft.VisualStudio.Deployment.DeploymentException' was thrown.
DEP6720: Failed to deploy package e0999a8f-0200-4738-ae1e-b45742be6b6b. Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
DEP0100: Please make sure that Developer Mode is enabled on the target device. Because of error 80004005, Visual Studio was unable to check whether Developer Mode is enabled on 10.122.230.217. For more information about Developer Mode, see https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2128411.
I confirmed that Developer Mode is enabled on my PC, and Developer Mode, Device Portal, and Device Discovery are enabled on my HoloLens 2. My computer can access the HoloLens 2 Device Portal via https://xxxx (Hololens2 IP). I even tried a USB connection, but the error message remained DEP0100. Later, I suspected a mismatch between the VS2022 version and my HoloLens2 system version. To verify this, I created a simple project within Unity, however, this project can be deployed correctly to HoloLens 2 via VS2022 17.14.21. This suggests that I may have overlooked something within the SIGMA project, preventing me from deploying the SIGMA app correctly. Therefore, I am seeking your assistance. Any response would be greatly appreciated!
