Description
I'm starting to look into the integration of microscope's SLM into cockpit and I'd had a few questions on this. Just for reference and if you want to comment. Probably is more efficient to discuss this in the next meeting.
- in devices there are two modules microscopeCamera and microscopeDevice with several devices (subclasses of microscopeBase. Any particular reason to move camera to a separate module? What should I do with the SLM?
- if I understand well the layering is device_handler>cockpit_device>microscope but I don't see an slm handler for the current boulderSLM.. What am I missing. Is it just a generic handler? What are handler and device's responsibilities?
- We discussed about where to put the logic for the 3D-SIM pattern generation. Now it's a kind of mix between the boulder remote and cockpit's device. The idea was to put it into a third package sitting between cockpit and microscope. Am I right saying this? If so, would if be better to work on this before and simplify drastically the changes in cockpit?
