String filtering very slow

Thanks a lot for this package! Very useful to nicely integrate results from measurements or computations directly into LaTeX documents without any manual formatting process.
Nevertheless, It seems that filtering a 200 line file through string keyword by means of `equals` is very slow when compiling. Are there any way to speed-up the process?
I will try to provide some benchmark with a MWE later.
