How to use cpptools environment

What is the correct way to use the environment option? I tried environment = {["name"] = "LD_LIBRARY_PATH", ["value"] = "/path/here"}, and others but nothing seemed to work.

This doesn't result in an error environment = {{name = "LD_LIBRARY_PATH"}, {value = "/path/here"}}, but maybe only env not environment is supported?
