Create household wealth index classes

household wealth index
- numerical household wealth index: A data item of a household's cumulative living standard represented in a numerical datum. The wealth index is calculated using easy-to-collect data on a household's ownership of selected assets, such as televisions and bicycles; materials used for housing construction; and types of water access and sanitation facilities. - categorical household wealth index: A data item about a household's cumulative living standard represented in a categorical datum. The wealth index is calculated using data on a household's ownership of selected assets, such as televisions and bicycles; materials used for housing construction; and types of water access and sanitation facilities. OBI has a categorical measurement datum class. Would this be a good parent class for categorical household wealth index?

Also, is a numerical household wealth index a scalar measurement datum?

The wealth index is calculated using some formula rather than assay, So, I am not sue whether they are measurement datum, a result get from assay. You can find OBI:average value, an output of data transformation, is a data item but not a subclassOf measurement datum.

I am planning to bring the issue to OBI developers soon.

My suggestion is to use 'data item' as the parent for both classes since these values aren't really measured by a device.

The terms have been added in the VEuPathDB ontology. We can close this issue.

Check the VEuPathDB class, that ontology is in OBO but currently inactive. If we can reuse the class, we can take it over in OMRSE. It was recommended that we create a new PURL for it.

Hey @zhengj2007 , should we create the classes here and then you can import them into VEuPathDB ontology?

@dillerm It would be good if OMRSE could create these classes, since the VEuPathDB ontology has become inactive.

We will add both terms to OMRSE. Since term/definition editor pertains to the person who added the term to the ontology file, I will add the folks currently listed as definition editors as contributors.
