Thanks for your interest in contributing. Please read this before opening an issue or pull request — it explains how submissions are handled.
To keep the project reviewable as the volume of AI-generated ("slop") submissions rises, newly opened issues and pull requests are closed automatically. This is not a judgment on your contribution — it's a filter that shifts the cost of sifting low-signal submissions off the maintainer, so genuine contributions don't get buried.
If your contribution is substantive, get it back in front of a maintainer by doing one of the following:
- Reply in the thread with context — what you're trying to do, what you tried, why it matters, and (for bugs) how to reproduce it. A single substantive comment is enough.
- Email chrism@plope.com with a link to the issue/PR and the same context.
A maintainer (often assisted by an LLM-driven review tool — see Admin review below) will then reassess and reopen promising items.
A reopen is not earned by clicking the reopen button or posting a one-character reply. We look for substantive engagement — specifics about your situation, evidence, or a clear description of the problem and what you've tried. This filter exists to separate real contributors from automated noise; it is not meant to deter humans, and a real sentence or two clears it without trouble.
Known/trusted contributors (maintained in .github/CODEOWNERS) bypass
auto-close so routine, reviewed work isn't frictioned. If you've contributed
before and would like to be added, mention it in your reply or email.
Reconsidered items are triaged with the help of an LLM-assisted review process: each reopened or recently-opened item is scored for substance and grounding, and borderline items get a deeper review before a maintainer decides to act or re-close. This keeps maintainer time focused on contributions that have earned it.
Write a real sentence or two about your issue or PR, post it (or email it), and a human will take a look. That's it.
