After Upgrade to 1.6, I can't reconnect again

So I made the possible error and updated the plugin to the latest version, and now nothing works anymore :)
First, the plugin wouldn't start after the upgrade:
mattermost This plugin failed to start. please provide the Encryption Key
So, I've created one and was able to start the plugin. Then I tried confluence connect, and I got an error:
OAuth config not set for Confluence plugin. Please run /confluence install server
So I did /confluence install cloud and followed the instructions. (I also removed the existing connection in confluence).

It was able to install, I see it on confluence apps, looks good so far, but I still can't connect in mattermost, I always get:
OAuth config not set for Confluence plugin. Please run /confluence install server

Any ideas how I can fix this?

Without knowing your current Mattermost version it's difficult to guess possible causes. One may be the following:

10.5.14, released 2025-10-30

• Fixed Go v1.23 incompatibility issues with plugins MM-63345.

We tried to update our test environment recently (from 10.5.10 (ESR)) and Boards and jira plugin didn't work anymore afterwards. Now it's fixed with the latest Boards plugin version ( https://github.com/mattermost/mattermost-plugin-boards/releases/tag/v9.2.0 ) and the only change was the Go version:

• Bump version to v9.2.0 for Go upgrade ( Bump version to v9.2.0 for Go upgrade mattermost-plugin-boards#145 )
• Update boards Go version to match other plugins ( Update boards Go version to match other plugins  mattermost-plugin-boards#144 )

Thank you very much for the quick reply! And yes, I'm a silly goose, I forgot to mention our Mattermost Version, it's 10.12.0.
The funny thing is, it was working flawlessly, till I hit the update button :D
Interestingly, we also installed the boards plugin on the same day, and that works like a charm.

Ok, according to the changelog there are two new patch versions. In v10.12.1 there was the go update I mentioned above for v10.5.13:

10.12.1, released 2025-10-15

• Mattermost v10.12.1 contains medium to high severity level security fixes. Upgrading to this release is recommended. Details will be posted on our security updates page 30 days after release as per the Mattermost Responsible Disclosure Policy.
• Pre-packaged MS Teams plugin v2.2.2.
• Upgraded to go version 1.24.6.
• Mattermost v10.12.1 contains no database or functional changes.

But I'm not sure if that could be the problem. In v10.12.2 there is a critical security fix, so I'd recommend to update anyway.

For further troubleshooting it would be helpful to set the general loglevel to debug and post the exact error messages.

A quick workaround would be, to downgrade the confluence plugin to the version before the update, though. As always I recommend creating a full backup. Downgrading should be possible by simply download the confluence plugin via github and upload it via the system console in the general plugin settings (if plugin uploads are disabled, you may have to enable it first; and watch out for the max file size limit in Mattermost and nginx, if you use nginx as a reverse proxy).

It's possible that you have to uninstall the plugin first, before you are able to upload the older version. My experience with other plugins (e.g. Boards plugin) was, that the plugin settings are kept. But I can't rule out that the confluence plugin removes plugin data during an uninstall.

Yeah, I tried using the old app, but it remembers the settings and it also won't work :/
Feel kinda stuck now, as I can't get to work neither the old nor the new version now.
