Ok, the XTE can be calculated by course providers etc. within SignalK.
You should take it that those values are made available to use from some other plugin.
On other words, you need to design a solution that
takes deviation to the left as being any negative value and take deviation to the right as being positive and green.
Actually even that doesn't matter, because we can 're-programme' your solution by throwing in a 'value = value * -1' somewhere.
And the colours can be switched by swapping connections to the panels.
