Hi, unfortunately I cannot reproduce this ad-hoc; neither with emacs 29 nor 30. Which is your emacs-version ?
And, could you please:

• M-x toggle-debug-on-error
• Provoke the error
• Post the resulting stack-trace (Buffer Backtrace)

Well org-id-locations is a variable defined in org-id.el ; I am not the author of this. Maybe you should take this to the orgmode mailing list ?
