World Bank Open Data — read-only public development indicators connector

Scenario & scope / 场景与边界

Users can ask Cindy to look up and compare World Bank country metadata, indicator definitions, and historical or latest development indicators such as GDP, population, inflation, employment, education, health, and environment data.

The plugin does not provide real-time market quotes, investment advice, data writes, account operations, or any other external side effects. It does not require an API key.

Overlap check / 与现有插件的查重

This is complementary to the existing finance and search capabilities: it is a structured connector for the World Bank Indicators API and its country and indicator catalog, not a generic web search tool or a real-time financial market data source.

Required capabilities / 所需能力声明

• Network host: api.worldbank.org only.
• Credentials: none; no OAuth, secrets, or API key.
• Node Runtime: not needed; the plugin uses the network slot for HTTPS requests.

Irreversible side effects / 不可逆副作用

None. All tools are read-only and only query public World Bank data.
