I tried this driver with an internally-connected SATA SSD and it worked flawlessly, however, using the same ssd but connecting it through a USB 3 -to- SATA adapter leads to nothing happening,
Meanwhile programs like Diskinternals Linux Reader can read it fine which means the drive is readable over the adapter
I also tried a drive with NTFS partitions over the adapter, it worked fine
So
the adapter appears to be working fine
btrfs works (internally through this driver, and externally through program like linux reader)
ntfs works natively
Therefore I assume this driver does not support btrfs over usb
Extra: wifi gets super unstable whenever this is connected, but it could be anything, so I'm not blaming this driver
Is this driver meant to work over USB or only meant for internal connections?

Are you doing this on an AMD Ryzen PC? AMD Ryzen AM4, AM5, Threadripper systems have massive USB stability issues... Would also explain your WiFi issues.

Regarding the wifi issues, after further trying and investigation, it doesn't seem related to the partitions filesystem. (btw I'm on intel, having realtek wifi)
